Simple Honey Lemonade Recipe

Homesteading Natural Living Recipe Tips and tricks

Who doesn't love a nice cool drink of lemonade (or limeade)? We're big fans here, especially in the summer. But, I'm not a fan of the ingredients in a lot of the store bought mixes.  For starters, we have some allergies that we have to avoid and then there is the sugar. So. Much. Sugar!

We gave up on store bought lemonade and started making our own. It's so easy to make, we have full control over the ingredients and it tastes so much better!

simple lemonade

1 cup hot water

1/3 cup honey

1/2 cup lemon (or lime) juice

1/8 tsp of real salt

We use bottled lemon juice most of the time but you could squeeze your own.  Add everything to a half gallon mason jar.  Put the lid on tightly and shake until the honey has dissolved and everything is combined.  Fill the jar with cold water and put it in the refrigerator to chill (or just pour over ice).

This lemonade is so delicious just as it is but there are so many ways to mix it up.  You can add frozen berries as ice cubes or chop up some fresh mint or lavender for more flavor.

Add a ReCAP pour lid to your jar, a GoSili straw to your glass and enjoy!

Don't forget to add your GoSili straw and enjoy!
