Tips for Learning from Home

The thought of Winter coming is a little scary for those of us learning at home.  To help lighten the load a bit, I've put together my top 4 tips for learning at home.  I kept them simple and easy to implement, I know what it's like to be juggling a lot! 

Tip 1: Establish a daily routine:  You may already have one in place but it might need some adjustment for the Winter.  If you don't have one, now is the time to get it done.  I prefer a routine over a schedule as it allows you more flexibility and we all know that with kids you've got to be flexible.

Tip 2: Include Daily Fresh Air Time:  Getting outside is so important for your mental health.  Make it your goal to get outside every day, even if it's just a short trip to the mail box, or enjoying your first cup of coffee on the porch.  The sunshine and fresh air will really help.

Tip 3: Make a "need to do" list:  Put all of your must do tasks on a list each day.  This will not only keep your organized and focused but you'll make sure you don't forget something important. 


Tip 4: Get dressed and ready for your day:  Even if you are going to be staying home all day, it's still important to treat it like you are going to school or work.  This really helps break up the days and also gives you more motivation and energy.
